Our client database includes a wide spectrum of business types; Insurance Companies, Underwriters, Solicitors, Brokers, Private Individuals and Fleet Managers, to name a few, that have been affected by a motor accident throughout Ireland & the UK.
We offer a wide range of services from standard accident damage inspection reports right through to detailed 'court compliant' expert witness reports.
In the event of accident damage, we inspect the vehicle and on our clients instructions we authorise repairs, report only, or handle as beyond economical repair.
In the event of accident damage, we inspect the vehicle and on our clients instructions we authorise repairs, report only, or handle as beyond economical repair.
In the case of authorisation we instruct the repairer to proceed with repairs asking them to collect any excess and forward an account to us for audit. We then pass this on to you advising that it is in order for payment.
In all cases our motor engineers will provide an accurate pre-accident value and confirm the salvage value and salvage category should the vehicle be a total loss.
Post repair inspections are increasingly being requested these days. If a vehicle owner is unhappy with repairs, we are often requested to re-inspect a vehicle in order to comment on the standard of workmanship. We ascertain if the complaint is in regard to a supplementary issue, a fault caused by the repairer, or a fault unrelated to the repair in hand. We can comment on rectification costs or incorporate any other request from principal. This type of inspection is becoming more popular within the industry to help reduce fraudulent claims.
We provide a "valuation only service" where an inspection is not viable as in the case of a stolen-unrecovered vehicle. Our engineer will give an independent opinion as to the value of the vehicle at time of loss based on information gathered. The engineers use all research tools available.
Mechanical Failure Inspections will be carried out by our highly trained engineers. A full report will be compiled following inspection in accordance with instructions.
We find many of these inspections relate to flood damaged vehicles or engine seizure. Any aspect of mechanical failure can be undertaken. We will also inspect parts which may have been removed from a vehicle in order to give an opinion on cause of failure.
Comparison reports can be carried out between your insured vehicle and the third party vehicle. Measurements and images will be taken to assess liability
If the vehicle is beyond economical repair we have a number of services available through our total loss processes. We move the vehicle to free storage either to an appointed agent or to a salvage agent recommended by us. We also agree settlement with the owner of the vehicle, if required.
